As an example, last year only four farmers in the Martin's Creek area and only three farmers in the B-ajS- | town area seeded crini'on clover as ' K winter cover crop. This year 43 farmers in the Martins Creek area seeded from one to six acres, and 17 . farmers in the Brasstown area seed- j ed one to sixteen acres. This shows an increase in this farming practice ' of 600 percent. Another practice which Is a good example of progress made is the i seeding of rye. 90 percent of the | farmers in both areas did not seed rve last vear. but did seed rye this year. In the division of home beautifics ton. the Belleview church, in Mart in's Creek Watershed, was a parti cularly good example. The entire church was remodeled and repainted. These are only a few of the prac tices that have been completed and will be completed by these area de monstration farmers, whose program includes such purposes as the fol lowing: to create a better standard of living, encourage better farm management: concentrsrtion of row crops on level land and devote steep lands to soil conserving crops: better fertilization of crops with a higher analysis of fertilizer: grow feed for livestock: adopt a crop rotation system: increase livestock with a like increase in qaullty: increase fertility of the soil.
