noon opening the session with the

library this week, with the same re
sult that "Ye Olde Time Vodvil" j
show, scheduled for that date, has i
had to be postponed again.
The show is sponsored by all the j
Murphy social and civic groups In an
effort to get better lights for the 11- |
brary. The new date for the peiform- j
ance has not yet been decided, but ,
will be announced in plenty of time I
for a big crowd to turn out for it.

Calvary Church Plans
Dedication Services
On Sunday, March 29
. Built as a result of tithing and
sacrifice, dedication services for the
Calvary Baptist Church, in North
Murphy, will be held Sunday morn
ing. March 29. The program will
begin at 10 o'clock, and continue
until 3 p. ra.
Talks will be made by the Revs.

shippers it now is free of debt: owns '
its building and grounds, and has
almost tripled in membership. A
system of budgeting brings in from
$10 to $18 every Sunday.

Has Meeting In Home

The Woman's Society of Christian
Service of the Methodist Church met
Tuesday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. H. E. Dickey. The meeting was
opened by quiet music The regular
business session was presided over

Mrs. Case gave a report ott ths
zone meeting that was held In Hays
ville. Feb 28th the next zone meeting
will be held next Spring In Murphy.
It was announced that Mrs. W. M

hostesses at the April meeting of the
society, and that Mrs. J. H Hamp
ton would lead the program, the sub
ject of which would be. "The work of
the woman in the city church."
