Due to the resignation of George Phillips, who
was nominated at the County Convention as Re
publican candidate for Clerk of the Superior
Court, the undersigned was nominated by the
Republican Executive Committee as candidate
for that office.
In accepting this nomination I pledge myself,
if elected, to perform the duties of Clerk of the
Superior Court to the best of my ability and to
give all of the people of our county a fair, im
partial and efficient administration of that
office.

During my administration of the affairs of the office of Sheriff during the past four years I have
endeavored to perform the duties of that office to the best of niv ability enforce the law, and
serve the people of the county fairly and without political consideration.
1 am grateful to the people of the Countv for the support they have given me heretofore, and real
ize that my election was due to support from both parties.

ple. and to use the experience which I have gained to better the performance of the duties of the

Although I would like to talk with every voter of the County personally, it will be impossible for
me to do so. I am, therefore, taking this means of requesting the support of my manv friends over
