The anual Birthday Party of (
the Woman's auxiliary of the
Presbyterian church was held
Tuesday afternoon at the home
of Mrs. Don Witherspoon.

scheme was carried out in decora
tions and refreshments, with ar
rangements of pink flowers about
the room. On each plate was a
small hand-made umbrella, and '
at the bride-elect's place was a
miniature bride. Hand painted
tallies depicted some event of the !
engagement and aprpoaching
marriage.

church Friday evening compli
menting MLss Elizabeth Reed and
Miss Emma Louise Jenkins, both
members of Murphy school faculty,
who will leave soon on a trip to
California. The honorees were
presented corsages and gifts.
Games were played, and a spell
ing bee and a Bible quiz were held.
Partners were chosen and poems
dedicated to the honorees were
written on the back of the qui?
programs.
Fancy heart-shaped sandwiches,
cookies, nuts and coca-colas were
served to the 22 members present.
