The Andrews P. T. association met in the Youth build ing on December 9 at 3 o'clock P M. Mrs. Wendell Morris, president, presided. During the business hour icports were heard from all stand in:? committees. Miss Faye Ste wart. treasurer, gave a report on finances. Mrs Wayne Matheson reported on the amount snent for ? fothing. Mrs. C. C. Washam. chairman of the Grade Mothers. Mrs. C S. Freel of the Hospitality committee made reports and Mrs. Jane Orr. chairman of the Library committee, reported that the Ko-i nahceta club had raised $534 46 for the Elementary School Library Fund. The budget was orcsented to the association and was approved with one except ion-that the amount ao '?opriated to the elementary chool was reduced by $50. and this amount given to the high ?chool library. Mr- J. II. Christy reported thit Mrs. I. B. Hudson had been elected hairman of the committee for improvement of the school '.rounds. Rev. J. C. Lime was tfuest speak er. and he made a talk on "One World at Christmas". Miss Ada Mae Pruette's third rade section won the prize for having the most parents in at tendance. Mrs. W.H. Grady Resigns Position ANDREWS ? Mrs. Willie H. Grady, sixth grade teacher in the Andrews schools for the past four months, has submitted her resigna tion to the Andrews city school board, and left the past week end to join her husband in Tus- , caloosa, Ala., Mr. Grady was a student at Western Carolina Tea chers college until recently.
