Eighth Graders
Work To Improve
Science Dept.
ANDREWS: ? The eighth grade
has recently purchased a thirty
dollar microscope for its science
department. With no science
equipment whatsoever, except
their textbooks, the eighth grade
went to work to raise money for
science equipment.
The children under the direction
ot their science teacher. Mrs
Annie Ruby Barnett, collected
milk, sugar, butter. ,eggs. and
other items with which they made
cookies and candy. They sold those
cookies and candy to get the
money with which to buy the
much needed microscope. T!i
are now working on a plan to raise
money with which to buy slides
for their microscope.
