At a Breakfast meeting of the Duke Alumni Teachers' association, during the State NCEA Convention in Ashe ville last week. Boyd B. Robinson, principal of the Andrews elemen tary school, was elected secretary ;>nd treasurer of the association for the coming year Claude Grigg. superintendent of the Albemarle City Schools, was elected president i and Mrs. Annie Swindell of Dur ham was elected ? ice-president. The next regular meeting of the Duke Alumni Teachers' associa tion will be held during the com ing State NCEA Convention. Final Rites Held : For Mrs, Brockman .Mrs. Harley Brockman, 41. of Letitia. died at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon at a Murphy hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Shady Grove Baptist church, with t lie Rev. Thomas Truett and the Rev. Fred Stiles officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Townson funeral home in charge. Surviving are the husband. Har ley Brockman; the father, Alfred Green; one brother. Herman Green of Letitia; four sisters. Mrs. Tom King, Mrs Clarence King, both of Culberson. Mrs. Clyde llaney of Letitia. and Mrs. Hoyt Walker of Murphy. Route 2. \V. S. C. S.
