Captured along with the still were 15 gallons of liquor and ap proximately 2.500 gallons of beer, according to Deputy Davidson. The still was one of the largest ever captured in this county. USMC Mrs. Ada Martin Taken At Age 71 Mrs. Ada Donaldson Martin. 7! died at her home at Martins Creek Saturday at 4:30 p. m. after a long illness. Dr. Marvin Nathan Is Health Officer Dr Marvin M Nathan of Augus-4 ta. Ga . has accepted the position as district health officer for the j Cherokee-Clay-Graham district.) with headquarters in Murphy, and began his work Monday of this week. Dr. Nathan is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a B. S. degree; the University School of Medicine with a M. D. degree, and did his intern work at the Univer sity hospital. Augusta. For the past few months, the new health officer has been doing public health work with the De partment of Public Health of Mis sissippi, with his headquarters in Tupelo. Prior to that he was in the army for four years, serving at several points in the United States. Dr. Nathan is married and they have one son. Franklin J., who is three years old Mrs. Nathan and son will move here when a home has been located. Morris Announces Sermon Subjects The Rev. J. Alton Morris will preach on. "Living for Things Eternal" at the Sunday morning service at 11 o'clock at First Bap tist church. He will preach on. "The Compelling Cunst" at the evening service at 8 o'clock. Sunday School will be held at 9:43 o'clock and Training Union at 7 o'clock. SINGING The usual Saturday night sing ing will be held on September 4 at the school building. Amateur night also will be featured. It is open to all who desire to partici pate. Dr. Boyd Hunt Opens Baptist Hour Sunday ?'Christ Is Lord'' is the theme of THE BAPTIST HOUR, to be heard over 71 stations at 8:30 A. M. EST or 7:30 A M. CST each Sun day of September and October. Dr. W Boyd Hunt of Houston, Texas, opens the nine week series on September 5th. with the sub ject "Wages Without Work."' it was announced today by the Radio Commission of the Southern Bap tist Convention.
