Mrs. Luttredl's background in
Home Economies is varied and in
teresting. She majored in Home
Economics at Middle Tennessee
Stat 3 Teachers College. Murfrees
boro, Tenn., \Vas for 10 years em
ployed by Ball Brothers Jar Co. of
Munoie, Indiana, as Home Econo
mist. covering 14 states teaching
food preservation to extension,
farm security, college and utility
groups. For two years sihe served
as Sales Promotion Representa
tive for Foley Manufacturing Co
working with large department
stores throughout the oast and
midwest and exhibiting for Foley
at National Home Economics con
ventions, dietetic medical and
nurses' annual meetings, as well
as houseware shows.
"Frozen Food Facts" is being
presented daily by Mrs. Luttrell
in various sections of the Caro
linas. A recent survey given in
McCall's Magazine reveals that
50% of tihe Nation's farm families
5re now freezing their own fruits,
vegetables and meats either at
home or in local lockers. This
meeting should be of great inter
est to local housewives.
Door prizes and refreshments
are being planned. The demon
stration is being arranged by

the committee of the clean-up
drive for the town, reported the
hearty cooperation of the Mayor,
the town officials and the civic
clubs in their efforts to accomplish
their purposes, and all members
present expressed their thanks and
appreciation for the assistance
tfiven by the Mayor, the town otf
I ficlals, and the civic clubs.
The living-room was decorated
with roses and garden flowers,
and after the business of the club
\\*a> fini lied, the hostesses served
a delicious ralad course and coffee.

Injured
In Wreck
Johnny McJunkin of Etowah.
Term., was critically injured when
his automobile overturned on the
Hiwassee Dam 'highway Friday
night. He is receiving treatment
it Whitfield Cliniic where he was
unconscious for 24 hours. Accord
ing to Patrolman Jack Lunsford
information concerning the cause
of the accident is incomolete.
