Sunset Service
The Presbyterian Youth Fellow
ship will meet at the church at
6:30 o'clock Sunday night for a
specially prepared Sunset service.
Members will bring a picnic sup
per and transportation to some
appropriate spot will be furnished.
Mrs. James R. Crook, wife of the
pastor, will speak at this service.
Mrs. Crook has been in teenage
recreation and religious education
work for several years, and she
will have an interesting and inspir
ing message for this meeting.

A family reunion was held at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. John
A. Rogers of Route 4, Hayesville
recently. The fourth generation
was present and a picnic luncheon
was served. Among those present

Mary Ann Kephart
Mrs. Mary Ann Kephart, better
known as "Aunt Polly", 91, died
at the home of her son. J. T.
Kephart, near Murphy af'.er an
illness of several weeks.
Born and reared in Cherokee
tiounty. she was the daughter of
the late Eli and Vina Lunsford
Palmer, one of Cherokee County's
prominent families. She had
been a member of the Baptist
Church for more than 70 years.
Funeral services were held
Thursday (today) at 2 p. m in
White Baptist Church at Grand

and burial was in the family plot
