Nantahala National Forest, Franklin North Carolina up to and not later than 2 00 p. m. January 23. 1950 and opened immediately thereafter for all the timber marked for cutting, live or dead, standing or down I located on an area embracing I about 55 acres within the Nottely River Unit, Nantahala National Forest, Cherokee County, North Carolina, in the total number of 432 trees of the following species: Short leaf pine, white pine, hem lock. white oak. yellow poplar, black oak. scarlet oak. southern j rod oak. post oak birch, red maple, , beech, black gum and northern I red oak. No bid of less than | | $650 as a lump sum payment for 'stumpage will be considered. In I addition to the price bid for stump rge. a deposit of $150 will be re quired for sale area betterment work In addition to the above amounts, any unmarked timber which is authorized for cutting in connection with road construction or other improvements, or which is otherwise cut and subject to payment, will be paid for at the following current rates for stump age. $15.00 per MBM for yellow poplar and white oak: $10 00 per .MBM for short leaf pine, white pine, birch, red maple and north ern red oak and $3.00 per MEM for hemlock. Mack oak. scarlet rak. southern red oak. post oak beech and black gum. $300 must be deposited with each bid to be applied on the purchase price, re funded or retained in part as liquidated damages, according to conditions of sale.
