G. Ohlinger. Miss Florence Good and Miss Lilhe Meyers were guests. Carringer Finishes His Basic Training Randolph AFB, Texas. Pvt. Ralph L. Carringer, son of Mr and Mrs. Charles W. Carringer, Hayes villa. North Carolina has completed his basic military train ing here, along with some 600 more airmen, and is now learning his lob in Randolph's B-29 combat crew training school. Pvt. Carringer re ceived the same basic military training that is taught Randolph's ismous aviation cadets in their ! pre-flight schooling. | The group of airmen, of which Pvt. Carringer was a member, will be taught to be mechanics, clerks, medics, air oolieemeo. cooks, dri vers and many other jobs vital in keeping the huge B-29's flying and the 11-man aircrews moving to the Strategic Air Command. Many members of this "recruit" group will qualify for technical training schools soon, and all will be given an opportunity to compete for aviation cadet and officer candidate schoola if they have the proper background.
