Hall, pastor of St. Andrews Luth eran Church, Andrews, spoke to the Andrews school children on safety. Being appalled by the num ber of traffic accidents lately, par ticularly those Involving children playing In the street, he spoke to them about the "Ten Coramand menst of Pedestrian Safety." Using his dog "Susie", he showed the children that while she knew a great many things and could do many tricks, she was' not careful as a pedes train. He showed them how she was careless about crossing streets, playing. In the street, not looking before she went for her ball. Mr. Hall said that she would not walk on the proper side of a high way approaching cars and that her black color was hard to see at night. Then he showed them how she should wear something Ught so she coulct be easily seen at night. He concluded by telling the children that there is not mucli point in knowing a great many things if they are not going to watch fo rears, because they prob ably will not live long enough to use the knowledge.. Mashburn, son of \ Mrs. Lowery Gentry of Andrews, is with 33rd Air Force Division ( attached to Scott Air Base in Belle ville, IB. Cpl. Mashburn received his bas ic training at Lackland Air Base. He also received training at Kees ler Field, Miss., and Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City. Dies In Knoxville Funeral service* (or John Lewis Peltoo, 74. who died at his hoop in Knoxville Sunday st 3:90 p. m. were held Tuesday in the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Chdrch. Knoxville, Tenn., where he was a member. He had been a coal orocer In Knoxville for several years. He lived In Andrews before that and was bookkeeper for Andrews Tan ning Company. Survivors Include the widow, Mrs. Pearl Pelton, one son, Jack H. Pelton; a sister, Mrs. Anna But ler of Marlette, Mich.; and a bro ther, Harry Pelton of St. Ignacc, Mich. Gernerts Hosts To Adult Gass A meeting of the young adult Sunday School Class of Andrews Methodist Church was held on Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Gernert. The president, Clyde Fraley, pre sided, and games and refreshments were enjoyed. Those present were Mr. and Mrs Clyde Fraley.
