Cartoon Contest

The National Wildlife Federa
tion has asked the high school stu
dents of Americs to create a oar
loon character wh'ch can be used
to tell the story of conservation?
and offered prizes totaling $700 in
s nationwide contest. Entries must
be submitted by next Jaunary SI
and winners will be announced
during National Wildlife Week in
March. 1953.
As in tiie previous poster con
tests. the cartoon competition will
be divided into junior-high and
senior-high groups. Students any
where in the United States, from
Lhe seventh grade through the last
year in high school, are eligible.
First prize in the Junior division
?grades 7. 8 and 9?is $100. The
second best entry will win $50;
Ihird. $25; the next ten best, $10 i
each. Top winner in the Senior
division?grades 10, 11 and 12?
will get $250. Second prize is $50;
third. $25; next ten. $10 each.
