with the 1st Cavalry Division after
serving six months in Korea.
* Part of the' security forces for
Japan, the 1st Cavalry Division
was rotated from Korea last year
after 17 months of combat duty.
It is now taking intensive field

For Mrs. Sawyer
Mr* Osea Lee Sawyer, age 67.
Dassed away Tuesday morning In
the Andrews hospital, following a j
lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be conduc
ted Thursday at 2:30 p. m at An

Rev. E. L. Kirk, the Rev. James
Allen and the Rev. J. J Wood of

Thursday when it will be taken to

Mrs. Sawyer moved to Andrews
with her parents, the late D. W.
and Sallie Jane McKee Whisen
hunt. in 1892. She was educated
in the Andrews schools.
In 1904 she was married to the
hte Albert S. Zimmerman. After
the death of her husband, she took
lurses' training at Aston Park
| Hospital in Asheville.
In 1930 she was married to Rob
ert C. Sawyer. They resided for
'v.clve years in Philadelphia. Pa.
t eturning to Andrews to make

Mrs. Sawyer was a charter mem
ber of the Murphy OES. She
served as Worthy Matron for sev
eral years. She was an active men
s?r of the Andrews Methodist
Church.
Surviving are the husband, one
