Viswanathan of Travancore Cochin, India, was a Folk School visitor for several days. He and Mr. Bill Grove of Pennsylvania spending three weeks visiting points of interest In the South. In-. eluding the TV A. Mr. Vlswana than's specitl interests are in com munity development and cooper atives, and when he returns to India this fall plans to work in "nail communities developing home crafts, agriculture, and ed ucation. LAST WEEK The annual Board meeting for Ute school was held this past week end. May 1-2. Out-of-town mem bers of the Board Included Miss Louise Pitman, chairman of the craft director of the School, from Asheville; and J. Edward Davis of Washington, D. C. Former students sponsored a supper Saturday night for the Board and staff members; Mrs. Sue Recce was chairman for the party, which was attended by REGAL CLUB TOMORROW The Regal Club will meet Fri day at ? p. m at the home af Mrs. Marjorie Wltherspoou, with Mrs. Witherspoon. Mr. Davis prepared en exhibition of Indian crafts from the United State t and Alaska 'as a main fea ture in the evening program. He also showed colored slides of Ind ian crafts and craftsmen, and Miss Pitman showed a movie of ,n early Craftsmen's Fair, which la held each July in Ashevllle and presents the work of mountain craftsmen. Otto and Marguerite Wood, whose accomplished playing of the violin and piano enliven the folk games at the school, will be with us until the end ?f June.
