June Dairy Month Celebration Set For Cherokee County Cherokee County milk producers started observing June Dairy Month on the right foot this week after their milk once more enter ed the Ashevllle market when the Asheville Department of Health Inspected and approved Cherokee County milk. J. FTanklin Smith, chairman announced the June Dairy Month gram with an open-house day and celebration at the local dairy pro ceasing plant at Braastown when the new ice cream plant will be opened. Gov. Umstead and other state and local officials will be Invited to attend the celebration. Mr. Smith said the re-entering of Cherokee County milk In Ashe villa ahould add to the economy of local dairymen. He said more i county milk will be in a higher price bracket. D. Denney officiating. The body lay In state in the church one hour prior to the service. Burial was in the church cemetery. A native of Clay County, Mrs. May was a daughter of the late Riley and Sarah Holden Jones. With her parents, she moved to Macon County as a girl, and was married in 1880 to Samuel Jeffer son Mhy who died in MM. She was a member of the Briartown Bap tist Church and of the Rebekah Lodg<i. ?
