He entered the regular Army on March 4, 1942 and was commiss ioned a second lieutenant on Oct. 3 the same year, following comple tion of the OCS course at Fort Knox, Ky His first assignment was with the 11th Armored Div ision at Camp Polk, La. His next duty was with the I Army Ground Forces Replace i ment Depot which was located at : Fort Meade, Md . Camp Adair, Ore . and Camp Pickett. Va He . was separated from active duty on May 20, 1846 On Sept 20. 1950 he was recall ed to active duty and was sent to Fort Jackson. S. C. with the 8th Inf. Division, was sent from there to the far East with the 35th Inf. regt. 35th Division. There he ser ved on the battle front as platoon leader for six months, then named Adjuant While serving In Korea. Calling for a final push to wind up the drive Mr Fere bee said members of the steering commit tee will meet with local commit tees in Clay and Graham Count ies Money collected and pledged for the hospital this week went over the $52,000 mark, leaving over $21 000 still to be raised in the dis trict The new hospital will not affect any clinic or hospital already es tablished in other communities. Mr Ferebee pointed out. He said the hospital will cooperate and work with clinics and hospitals in the area He termed the new hospital the "most forward reaching step ever taken In this area." And said the final push and mass meeting will give every one in the district a chance to take part in building the much needed institution. Inclosing Mr. Ferebee pointed out that the final $21,000 must be , collected by the end of July. Henry Sudderth Dies In PTree Henry Sudderth. 88, died June 22. in his home at Peachtree. af aftrr a bri^f Illness He was the son of the late Theodore and Delia Corpemng Sudderth members of prominent pioneer families His grandfather, Abraham Sud derth, was the first white settler on Hiwassee River on what is known as the Mission Farm in the Peachtree section In 1800. He was a member of the Petch tree Methodist Church and was active in both church and civic affairs. * Funeral services were held at 2:30 p m Thursday, June 24 in Peachtree Baptis Church. The Rev. C.
