Held Saturday

the city recreation park.
The shoots start at 9 a. m. The ,

tory of Cherokee County from its
beginning at the meeting of the
Historical Society at the Carne
gie Library Monday.
Mrs. Freel was introduced by

Wilson, 78, Dies
In Andrews
| Columbus Jackson Wilson, 78,
j died Thursday in Andrews.
Funeral services wera held in
Marble Springs Baptist Church
Friday at 2 p. m. with the Rev.
Algia West officiating. Burial was
I in Moss Cemetery.
A native of Graham County, Wil
son moved to the Marble section
of Cherokee County 50 years ago
and had engaged in farming.
He had lived in Andrews for the
past four years, and was a mem
ber of Marble Springs Baptist
Church.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs.
Betty Dye Wilson; one daughter,
Mrs. Beulah Trull of Marble; six
sons. Gordon, Richard and Silas of
Marble, Homer of Gastonia, De
lmer of Oxford and Carl M. of
Humington Park. Calif.; and 22
grandchildren.
Also two great-grandchildren;
three brothers, Arthur of Marble.
Joe of Ttpoco, and Velt of Sylva;
four sisters, Mrs. Martha Griggs
of Marble, Mrs. Etna Wilson of
Tapoco, Mrs. Addle Sawyers of
Florida, and Mrs. Ethel Wilson of
Atlanta.
Nephews were pallbearers.
Ivie Funeral Home was in
charge.
G. M. Edwards Dies
In Robbinsville '
Goldman Mack E awards, 73, a
shoemaker, died in his home here
in Robbinsville at 3 p. m. Mon
day. Oct. 25 after a brief illness.
He was the son ofJhe late Sam
uel and Amanda Calhoun Edwards.
Funeral services were held at 2
p. m. Wednesday in Stecoah Bap

3 egg yolks, beaten
y4 cup sugar (brown or white)
1% cup cooked or canned pumpkin
H cup milk
% teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
V* teaspoon ginger (optional)
% teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1 tablespoon plain gelatin
>4 cup cold water
S stiffly beaten egg whltea
V4 cup granulated su |tr
Soften gelatin in hi cup cold wa
ter. Combine egg yolks, w|ar,
pumpkin, milk, salt and apicaa.
Cook in double boiler until thick
and smooth. Stir the mixture con
stantly while it's thickening. Add i

cold water. Cool mixture. BMt m

whites it* frothy. Continue beat
ing until whites stand up In peaks.
Fold egg whites Into pumpkin mix
tjjre. Pour Into a prepared crumb
