Gladson. 69, died Wednesday, April IS, at 10 p. m. In her home at Wayne, Mich., after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m .Sunday In Sweetgum Baptist Church with the Rev. Poley Helton, the Rev. Grady Chastaln and the Rev. Goldls Davidson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving are the husband; four daughters, Mrs. G. E. Underwood of Culberson, Mrs. Ed Blackwell. Mrs. Fred Henaon and Mrs. Junior Hickman of Wayne, Mich.; four sons, Kermit Helton , of Isabella, Tenn., Wayne Helton, of Wayne Mich., Hoyt Gladson of Culberson and Billy Gladson of Wayne Mich. Also two sisters, Mrs. Orpha Mason of Atlanta, and Mrs. Wi Hard Patterson of Acworth, Ga.; four brothers, Harve Bell of Culber son, Robert Bell of McCayesvllle, Ga., Jim and Noel Bell of Belmont; 28 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. ON HONOR ROLL Emma Jean Shields of Marble and junior at Appalachian State Teachers College in Boone was I named on the college Honor roll for the winter quarter. OR" Mrs. Smith, 86 , Dies After Illness Mrs. Margaret Adelirte Smith, 86, died Friday, April 18, in the home of a daughter, Mrs. A. B. Stalcup on Route 2, Murphy after a long illness. She was born in Blue Ridge, Ga., the daughter of the late Polk and Dora Oliver Chastaln, p prominent family of Fannin County, Ga., and had lived for more than 80 year* in Cherokee County. Funeral services were held at 1 p. m. Sunday in Old Martin's Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Crisp, the Rev. Robert Setser and the Rev. Carl Cunningham offldat ed and burial was in the church cemetery. She is survived by three daugh ters, Mrs. Stalcup, Mrs. Maude Hatchett of Murphy and Mrs. Ed Waldroup of Brasstown; one son, J. W. Smith of Blalrsville, Ga. ; three slaters, Mrs. Mary Harper of Crandall, Ga., Mrs. Emma Thomp son and Mrs. Elizabeth Welch, both of Blue Ridge, Ga.; five brothers, John B. Chaatain of Blue Ridge, Tom and Luther Chastaln of Mur ohy, the Rev.
