Cherokee Co. Cattle Be Tested For Bangs Disease Cherokee County, which la one of the tint counties in North Caro olina to go on the Accelerated Brucellosis Program (Bangs dis ease), sponsored by the U. S. De partment of Agriculture, has a very low rate of the disease accord ing to Dr. R. M. Becton, govern ment veterinarian. Nearly half of the cattle of the County have been tested and out those tested there wia only one one J hundredth per cent that had bangs. Each farmer will have an oppor tunity to have his cows tested free of charge. Dr. A. J. Head rick, (he local vet erinarian. is assisting in the pro gram.
