Revue Set In
R'Ville July 2
The Annual Graham County 4-H
Dress Revue will be held at the
Robbinavllle Courthouse on July i,
at 1 :30 p. m.
All 4-H girls are encouraged to
take part by modeling the gar
ments made in the 4-H clothing
project. Prizes will be awarded to
winners.
Parents are aiso encouraged to
attend this important 4-H occasion
to observe what the 4-H clubs are
doing to teach our girls to be bet
ter home-makers.

Gets Timber Sale
Veach. May. Wilson Lumber Co.
was high bidder on National Forest
timber sold last Thursday, Ranger
W. E Howell said this week.
Their bid of J6.057.90 was the
highest of the four bids received.
The sale was located on Chambers
Creek between Murphy and Unaka.
The sale consisted of 2.744 trees
containing an estimated 271 thous
and board feet.

Last year. 121 s^mills and other
timber products processing plants
used timber from the North Caro
lina National Forests.

was called due to the critical ill
ness of her father, who is a patient
in the Veterans Hospital at Wads
worth, Kansas. While away she
was the guest of her brother. W. J.
Coffey and family of Kansas City.
While there she attended the birth
of their new daughter, Betsy Ann
Coffey.

Set Dinner Tonight
The Young People's Department

sive dinner at 6 p. m. today (Thurs
day). Miss Janet Johnson, educa
tional director, is sponsor of the
party. I

at the home of Miss Sally Buchan

ced, followed by games.
From Miss Buchanan's home the
group will be served a salad course
at the home of Jack Mosteller in
Valleytown followed by games.
The group will then go to Nanta
hala where Miss Bobbie Conley
will be hostess at the vegetable
course, also to be followed by
games.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Brooks will
entertain at a meat course at their
home in Andrews followed by
games. The meal will end with des
sert at the pastorium followed by
an inspirational meeting by Miss
Johnson. Mrs. John C. Corbitt is
Young People's leader.
