Murphy City School
Faculty For 1956-57
Mr H. Bueck. Superintendent,
announces that the Murphy
Schools will open here Tuesday,
August 28. Students will stay un
til noon Tuesday, returning Wed
nesday for a full day schedule.
Mr. Bueck requests that all
high school students who did not
register last year, meet Mrs.
Bault at the school on Friday,
August 24 to register.
The lunch room will open Wed
nesday, and all students who
plan to start eating at that time
are asked to make preparations |
Tuesday.

the importance <>f enrolling each
student for the accident policy
which will cover them from the
time they enH! until the last day

to send $1.50 to your child's home

students, and Mr. Bueck expects
a similar increase this year.

Marble School
Opens In New
Building
The Marble scljOol wilt open lu
the new school building which has
been completed recently.
The new building contains six
class rooms, our; of which will be
used at present time a^ a library
center according to an announce
ment by Superintendent J. E.
Ruft.y.
All ( las.- rooms he stated are
furnished with new arid modern
equipment. The cafetorium, has
been equipped with the latest
folding type tables and new chairs
for the auditorium.
The kitchen is an all electric
kitchen, most modern in every re
spect and Supt. Rufty said, should
add much to the efficiency and
preparation of the meals to be
served to the children.
Some beautification work has
been done to the grounds, includ
ing excavating and seeding the
lawn.
A large area at the east end of
the building which will be used
for parking has been gravel spread
in preparation of adding black top
to the driveway.

Cherokee County had its first
rabies case this year when Harry
Hainby. 29, from Violet section of
Farrier, Tenn., was bitten by his
dog, while clipping its hair.
Mr. Hamby reports that the dog
appeared to be sick, and had bit
ten several other dogs ths' had
been vaccinated. Howev 1 the
