The purpose of this committee is to arouse in each community the intelligence and will to improve the public schools. ' 'ine governor staled in his an- j nouncement, that the work of the Committee would have nothing to do with the problems brought about by the decisions of the United States Supreme Court dealing with segregation in the public schools. Membership of this committee is made up of laymen who have shown a deep interest in public education and in the welfare of our children.
