Writing Prophet. This year's pro
gram has eben a study of the

Hoaea. and Hlcah and Habakkuk.
During the business session they
voted to sponsor the Mon treat
Chorus at the church in February.
White Christmas will be observ
ed on Sunday, Dec. 22, and a
Christmas program will be given
under the direction of Mrs. Hol

Meets With
Mrs. Henry Hyatt
The Mae Perry Circle of the
First Baptist Church met Tuesday
afternoon of last week with Mrs
Henry Hyatt at her home, with
Mrs. W. A. Sherrill co-hostess.
The meeting was opened with
prayer by Miss Addie Mae Cooke
of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Hadley
Dickey sang a solo, "Lord Teach
Me to Pray". Mrs- Sherrill gave
the devoional.
"Helping Youth to Hear God's
Call" was the subject of the pro
gram. Responsive readings and
short talks by Mrs- Hyatt and Mrs.
T. S Evans were given. The meet
ing was closed with sentence pray
ers by the group.
Mrs. W- A- Hoover, chairman,
presided over a business session
following the program.
A Thanksgiving basket for a
needy family was packed by the
group.
Refreshments were served to 10
members and two visitors, Miss
Cooke and Mrs. Lloyd Hendrix

The Grape Creek Home Demon
stration met Nov. 6 at the home
of Mrs. Vernie Ayers.

The Cherokee Crafters invites

draperies- She emphasized how to
use them with furniture, colors of
walls and floors or the pattern of

The home was btautifully decor
ated with Christmas holly trees,
red candles and other Christmas
decorations
Holiday sandwiches, cookies,
mints, nuts and punch were serv
ed by the hostesses from a table
spread with a red cloth and decor
ated with red candles in crystal
candelabra.

?The two-year-old son of Mr. and
Mrs. Oid Rhodes was seriously
burned in an accident at the home
on Route 3 Thanksgiving Day.
Garnigan Rhodes received burns
on his legs and hips when he pull
ed a pot of boiling potatoes over
on him. The child was admitted to
the Protestant Hospital here.
