ursday, March 24, 1977 According ro Scriprure Evangelist Ted Brooks Box 339 Pembroke. NC 2R372 HADAKKUK rom Doubt to Faith 1:2 [n the second verse cuk asked God the m: Why is sin unjudged? cuk had a burden for the , He said. ‘‘Lord, how ill. or how long shall 1 cry, lu wilt not hear? I even cry ou of violence and thou I save." doest thou show me ., and cause me to behold ices? For spoiling and ;e are before mo; and re those who raise up strife mention. Verse 3. see, Habakkuk was a t and he like us today who ing Christian lives for yet the ungodly were unpunished. Habakkuk Lord, if you are not going anything why show me lings?” Verse 3. You see, :he way we are today. We ■ why the wicked can and iress the righteous. Why er the things of this world, 'se 4 Habakkuk said, fore, the law is slack and doth never go forth, for •ked doth compass about iteous. Therefore, justice orth perfected," Verse 4. e. Habakkuk had seen so sin and the poor were ted and they were heavily :d from the wicked and iful ways. Habakkuk was burdened for the people, lid not understand why ould let the wicked treat pie so. It was so bad that uk accused God’s law of lack and that justice was ;nt forth. 'ee people today who are II kinds of sinful things, 'e Christian leaders who adultry right in the And we think that there is shment for these people, in to say, "Lord, is thy ack? Is there no Justice to ‘ forth? How long must 1 be grieved?” e fifth verse the Lord fd and said. "Habakkuk, 'ork a work in your days |e will not believe though hd to you.” In the sixth |bd told Habakkuk that he ;d up his people who are ad wicked. "They shall- mgk the breadth of the possess the dwelling places that are not theirs.” God told Habakkuk. "1 know they are terrible and dreadful. Not only that, but their ways are violence and they shall gather the captives as the sands."Verse 9. Then Habakkuk wanted to know how God could use wicked people. Habakkuk said, "Lord, art thou not from everlasting. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil and canst not look on iniquities.” Now Habakkuk said, "Lord, I will take my stand. 1 am going to my watch tower an set myself to see and to hear what you will say.” ril tell you, when a man of God gets an answer from God you can rest assured his people wilt be at ease. When God answered Habakkuk he said, "Habakkuk, I want you to write your vision. Not only do you write it on tablet, but I want you to make it plain. But to he that readeth may run. and the vision is yet for an appointed time. But at the end it shall speak and not lie, though it tarry, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry.-” Hab. 2:2-3. You see, God told Habakkuk that these people would not escape even though it looked like he was far off and he tarried long. He said, "You wait and see. lam coming to deliver my people because I have heard your prayers. Behold, his soul that is lifted up is not upright in him, but the just shall live by faith.” Verse 3-4. You see, I know for sure that God has the number of those who have brought shame to his name. He knows who you are and Jesus said there is nothing which is covered that shall not be revealed. There is nothing hidden which shall not be known. Matt. 10:26. God loves his people who are faithful. Godwin not have his people ignorant. When God was to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah he said, “Shall I hide from Abraham which 1 do.” Gen. 18:17 God' told Moses when the people began to complain about food, God said, “You shall see whether by hand has become short and you shall see whether •my word shall come to pass.” (Niim. 11:23 Brother, God said in his word that he was not a man that he should repent and that he would not lie. God hath said it and it shall be done. Num, 23:19. No, my friend, God has your number. He has your address and he can push your number any time and when he does you won’t be able to send someone else. You won’t be able to make it later, but you will go the very moment God calls you. And all those years of deceit you have been able to hide will be there open before your eyes. God has a book and in that book is your life. All those hidden things are there for you to see. God said, "the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous.” I write it again God said. He knoweth the way of the righteous. “And the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Ps. 1:6, You may have half the world on your side. It has also been appointed to them to die. Also in Psalm 56:8 it speaks of heartache and trouble. David asked the Lord to put his tears in a bottle. Tears. People today are shedding tears. But woe to you who causeth these tears for God will also put these tears in his book and Jesus said for you to offend his people, it were better you had a millstone tied to your neck and be thou cast in the sea. You see, the reason God told Abraham why he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah was Abraham’s children were obedient unto him and that they would keep up the way of the Lord and do righteousness and justice. For the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great and because their sins are very grieveous. I feel like the cry of God’s people here on earth are up before the Lord and I believe he is on his way to gather his church people and take them out of this sinful world. Because man has said in his heart, “God delayeth coming.” Even some have said there is no God. My voice to you who knows without a doubt that you are saved, don’t be concerned with the ways of the wicked, but be steadfast for Jesus and remain righteous and holy. Hold to God’s son Jesus for it is by him and only in him are we kept by his power through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the lost time. I Peter 1:5. And when Christ comes we shall be ready for we have been kept by his powers. You who are lost, remember this one thing: Jesus said all that call him Lord, Lord, shall not enter into his kingdom. The devil has them in the church. They stand in the pulpit. They sing in the choir. They even play his music. But you look to Jesus for your help and repentence for THE CAROLINA Jesus alone is the savior.
