An Open letter To Tobacco Growers
Mr. Farmer;
First American Cooperative Warehouse, inc. solicits your designation
for this tobacco season.
We feel that we should ask one question in this solicitation. How many
times has your tobacco trade been solicited with grand promises about
services and equal treatment involving selling time, only to find yourself
being put off. sitting in line in the fall when you need to be selling your
tobacco?

A recent bridal shower was
given in honor of Jennifer Dale
Carter Revels at Green Pine
Freewill Baptist Church in
Pembroke, who is the recent
bride of David Revels. Mrs.
Revels is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Hartis Carter of Route 1.
Pembroke, and Mr. Revels is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Revels
of Pembroke.

Upon her arrival she was given a
blue carnation coursage to accent
her blue suit. Making the affair
more enjoyable was her mother,
Mrs. Hartis Carter, and the

with a pink and yellow
tablecloth. The center of
attraction was the yellow and
white carnation arrangement.
Refreshments were: mints and
peanuts, ham sandwiches,
pineapple cheese sandwiches,
cake squares and fruit punch.
The shower was given by Mrs.
Ransey (Opal) Oxendine.
Approximately 65 guests
attended.
Special guests were the bride’s
great aunts; Mrs. Charity
Oxendine and Mrs. Lonnie
(Penny) Locklear: her aunts;
Mr. and Mrs. David Revels are
residing at Raft Swamp Mobile
Home Park in Lumberton. Mrs.
Revels is a student at Robeson
Technical Institute and Mr.
Revels is employed with Western
Auto in Pembroke and is a part
time student at Robeson
Technical Institute.
