The ones too weak to move? Children for whom there it not enough food. And too little or often none at all? Who will dry lean. Tears of despair? Who will lift up the heads That hang low in hopelessness? Who will pick them up When they foil? Who could nourish that flicker of hope However small? Will they ever live as others do? , Will their agony never cease. Their suffering never decrease? Can they hope to survive? Oh God let them live with dignity Or allow them to die. For theirs is misery unspeakable Not life at all. L.D. Malcolm W.J. Strickland honored as HEW Fellow W.J.
