Sunday School with a welcome
to all our visitors and visiting
friends. The topic of our lesson
was: Commissioned for Ser
vice.
Our visitors were Bro. Frank
Jacobs, his wife and twb
daughters. They sang a won
derful song entitled. "Just A
Little While To Stay Here. '
Bro. Joe taught the Adult
Class and he brought out some
good points.
Sister Louise's husband. Er
tle. was with her in church.
We were so glad to have him.
Pray that the Lord will save
him.
Bro. Carol Blue sang two
beautiful solos. Our secretary
read out loud School report
and the Young People and the
Adult Class had tied for the
attendance banner.
Our pastor preached a won
derful message, reading from
the 14th chapter of St. John,
starting at the 26th and
reading through the 31st ver
se. He used for his text. The
Comforter Is Come.
Sister Louise, her husband
Ertle and son Scotty. toy a
trip to Baltimore. Maryland to
visit with their friends. Mr.
and Mrs. Tony Locklear and
family. Thank the Lord they
had a safe journey there and
back.
Sister Gladys had service in
her home by Bro. Monroe
Woods and some brothers and
sisters from different church
es. Bro. Woods preached a
wonderful sermon.
Our Sunday School Rally will
be held August ISth. at the
Youth for Christ Camp in
Maxton. Hope everyone will
be able to attend.
Mrs. Leacie Brooks requests
that everyone pray a special
prayer for her that she'll soon
be out of the hospital and at
home with her family.

sion was the couple's thir

couple's relatives and child
ren. Lt. Keith Locklear. Jack
sonville. Fla.; Alan Locklear of
Pembroke; Keenan Eric and
Ales Ryan, of the home.
The guests were greeted by
Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Cum
mings.
A table covered with a white
cut work linen cloth, held a
four-tiered cake, baked by
Mrs. Evelyn Cummings and
served by Mrs. Dorothy May
nor and Mrs. Dianne Chavis,
sisters and niece of Mr.
Locklear.
Punch was poured from a
silver bowl by Miss Dehla
lummings. Gin* Oxendine.
and Mrs. Cora Gale Homan.
Mrs. Sussie Davis and Wan
da Hcnshaa invited the guests
to help themselves to an
abundance of party foods,
beautifully arranged on silver
trays.
A color stfhtme of velltx* and
green was used throughout.
Mr$. Polly Hunt and Mrs.
Lois Sanderson assisted with
the gifts. Mrs. Hollie Wofford
and Miss Jennifer Oxendine
registered the guests. Good
byes were said to Mayor and
Mrs. James A. Jacobs.
Out of town guests were from
Florida. Georgia. Virginia, and
Maryland. A very special
guest was present for the
affair. The new little Miss
Lumbee. Miss Tiffany Deloria
Locklear who is the only
granddaughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Locklear.

praise him for the precious
soul. William Lowery, who
accepted Christ as his personal
Savior. Continue praying for
him. that he will ever stand
and do God's will.
We thank God for our won
derful singing we had Sunday
afternoon. We really appreci
ate each one that participated
in the singing.

guest speaker at Daniel's
Chapel Sunday night. He took
a wonderful text from Romans
11:1 -4. We want to thank Bro.
Jesse Lowery and the Young

the Revival at White Oak
Holiness Church Tuesday
night. Rev. James Hunt was

Elder W.T. Lowery will be in
revival at the Youth for Christ
Church Thursday and Friday
nights. July 17 & 18 at 7:30
p.m. We ask you to pray about
this revival that God will
annoint him in a special way.
Rev. Charlie Locklear will be
conducting a taring service at
the Youth for Christ Church
Friday night following the
revival July 18-20. Rev. Saf
ford Smith will be the guest
speaker Saturday night. Be
