an additional well, the con

additonal water treatment

or in part may file with the
Local Government Commis
sion a statement setting forth
his objections and containing
his name and address as
provided in Section 159-50 of
the General Statutes of North

The following positions are
availably -with Robeson

A. Water Treatment Plant
Supervisor. An individual in
this class performs responsible
supervisory work in the opera
tion of the county water
treatment plant. Work in
cludes operating the water
treatment plant on a shift
basis, performing laboratory
analysis of water samples
during shift duty, and main
taining files and records.
Independent judgment and
initiative are required in the
performance of duties. Work is
performed in accordance witb
regulations of the State Board
of Health State Division of
Water and Air Resources, and
the county water treatment
and distribution department.
Work is coordinated through
the Administrative Supervisor
and is evaluated by the
efficiency of water treatment
plant operation and the ac
curacy of records and reports.
Minimum Requirements:

Experience in water treatment
plant operation and possession
of a class "A" Water Treat
ment Plant Operator's cer
tificate issued by the State of
North Carolina.
SALARY: $16,272.00 - 21.888.
B. Water Distribution Fore
man. An. individual in this
class performs supervisory
and skilled tasks in the in
stallation. maintenance, and
repair of water pipelines.
Work includes installation,
maintenance, and repair of the
county water pipelines system.
Work involves the performan
ce of the more complex tasks
in the construction and main
tenance of water lines, and
supervision of a small crew of
laborers on an assigned pro
ject, and in assisting with the
selection of equipment, ma
terials, and supplies used in
the overall work program.
Independent judgment and
initiative are exercised in the
performance of duties. Work is
coordinated through the
Administrative Supervisor and
is evaluated in terms of the
quality of Supervision and
workmansnip and for com
pliance with instructions and
departmental standards.
Minimum Requirements:
High school education plus at
least three years experience
supervising construction and
maintenance of water distri
bution system.
SALARY: S14.I36-18.972.
