The Teacher Appreciation
Day Committee composed at
Diane Goins. Patsy Lowry,
Carolyn Deese. Connee Bray
boy and Marty Locklear.
The parents began the day
by visiting the school and
pinning corsages and boa
tonnaires on every teacher,
aide and employee in the
school. There are 88 persona
employed at Prospect School.
The flowers were prepared by
Rose Carter of Carter's Row
ers in Pembroke.
During the evening meet
ing of the PTO. the teachers
were entertained' by Royce
Bullard, a student, who pre
sented her rendition in song
of "what the teachers mean to
us."
Each teacher, the principal
and the assistant principal
and guidance counselor were
presented certificates of ap
preciation by the parents.
William C. Chavis. assistant
principal, expressed the
tfidBghts of the teachers. He
said. "Thank you for making
our day...If it had been
raining, you would have caus
ed the sun to shine."

school year were elected.
