I THE BALTIMORE EXPERIENCE j Mj>l El?El_l_EU_E Li I llliMi i llUlE H I I II liniEll Ell Eli ? ?? Group Escapes to The Country by Herbert H. Lockicar I suppose there are many "avenues of escape," proba bly as many as there are causes for escape. Summer heat, year 'round work schedules, congested city living seem to form ideal1 causes for escape for James Hunt, Roscoe Tyler, Willie Hunt, Sol Mavnor, Hal Hunt 'and Herbert Lockicar. Their escape was by way of a fishing- camping expedition recently to Crisfield, Mary land. "The Fishing Seven" left Baltimore City at 5:00 a.m. Wednesday morning; travel ed to Crisfield, a four hour trip, pitched their tent in area's State Park; got breat fast at Aunt Em's; then boarded the boat called "Sweet Lady" owned and operated by Captain George Priiitt for a three day fishing experience. The water was fine; for three days the weather was great; the Captain used his fish and depth finder with absolute skill; comradery was high; the food was good; perfect conditions prevailed. One slight hitch, the fish weren't biting. Only a catch of about twenty fish for seven men for the three days. Two weeks later was a different story. The same experience was repeated, ex cept it was Enough for the "great outdoors." The party rented a motel room and stayed for two nights and caught about four hundred pounds of Sea Trout. The fish averaged about eight-ten pounds each. Yes, there are many ave nues of escape. These are often necessary to maintain one's sense of self- control and equilibrium. Said one of "the fishing seven" when one punches the time clock five days a week for fifty weeks per year, he is only too glad to get away from the "hustle & bustle' of the city life and back to nature and natural surroundings. Says Locklear about the water and outdoors as an escape, "...itsgood to remind me of the ultimate of creation; how nothing was omitted or left out." Hal Haat Jr., agt 15 ? .1 displays a "Catch af the Day." * r * Koacoe Tyler, Sol Mayaor, _ Willie Hunt and Jimmy Lewis _ enjoy some "horseplay be tween catches. The Mayflower averaged under two miles per hour en route to America. . Oid-Fashioned Baptismal Service Held Recently ?. -Y * ? - - - USB!
