Notice is hereby given that
the Toern Council of the Tcnrn
at Pembroke will consider the
following proposed amend
ment to the zoning ordinance:
That medical clinics be made
a permitted and or conditional
use in the R-A, R-2 and/or
R-M districts.
The time and place for a
public hearing concerning
such an amendment will be
held at 7:00 o'clock, p.m. on
the 7th day at September,
1962, at the Pembroke Town
Hall, when and where all
interested parties shall be
given an opportunity to be
heard concerning such*
amendment. This notice shall
je published once a week for
.wo consecutive weeks. The
first publication shall be not
less than 10 days nor more
than 2S days before the date
of the hearing.

Education Project will begin
accepting medical/dental ap
plications. In order to qualify
for participation in this pro
gram a child must:
1) Be enrolled in grades
K-12 in the Robeson County
Schools Administrative Unit;
2) Have an Indian Certi
fication (506) on file at the
Indian Education Office;
3) Meet financial need re
quirements established by the
program.
If your child meets these
requirements and is in need of
dental and/or medical care,
contact the staff person as
signed to the school your child
attends for an application. If

PEANUT BUTTER
CHIP FRUIT BARS
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1-1/4 cupa unsifted all
purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons baking
powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups Reese's Peanut
outter Chips
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped mara
schino cherries,
drained
1 cup confectioners'
sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
In a large mixer bowl, beat
eggs; gradually add sugar
and vanilla, beaming well. i J
Combine flour, baking pow- I |
der and aalt; add to egg f '
mixture. Stir in 1-1/2 cups
peanut butter chipa, raisins 11
and cherries. Spread evenly
in greased 13x9 inch pan; I <
bake at 350? 26-30 minutes
or until lightly browned. |
Cool. Spread with white 1
