Liberia, as missionaries for the Southern Baptist Convention. Mis sionaries are witnesses for Jesus who are following a personal call to "make all nations disciples." To do this, such dedicated people accept literally Jesus' instructions to "Be my witnesses." To most missionaries on the foreign field this means to serve night and day; at home, at work, and at play; and then on Sunday to do just a little bit more than you do during the week. The Hardys have been called by Go*' serve in Liberia, a third world pov West Africa, only four degrees above the equator. Of the two million pohriatioa, over 95 percent of the people are members of 16 different tribes. The country has 9 counties and 6 territories. At present the ruling head is Preside at Samuel K. Doe. For the Hardys, service by night can mean committee meetings for Lawrence as many as three nights in the week, h can mean entertaining students. ' Pembroke Kiwanians meet Little League Champs The Phillies, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, won the regular season league play and the post season tournament. They also won the Robeson County Little League Championship. The Tournament consisted of 45 Little League teams.
