the Performing Arts Center
sponsored theatre trip for two
to Atlanta, Georgia. Ms.
Sarvis' name was drawn from
a silver pitcher containing all

Department of Pembroke
State University will present
the University Concert Band
and the University Percussion
Ensemble in concert on Tues
day. October 16, at 8:00 p.m.
at the Performing Arts Center
on the PSU campus.
The concert band is con
ducted by Dr. Robert Romine,
and will feature Allen John
son. a senior from Dillon.
S.C., as soloist on "Concerto
for Trombone" by N. Rims
ky-Korsakov. Polly Allen, also
a senior from Dillon, will
conduct the band on James
Swearington's "Exaltation."
The program will include
selections from? Sousa, Del
Borgo. Anderson. Williams,
Latham and Azzolina.
The percussion ensemble,
conducted by Mr. Charles
Mercavich, will perform
"Bravura" by Philip Faini
and William Kraft's "Suite
for Percussion." Wayne
Campbell, a senior from Fair
mont, N.C. and Polly Allen,
will be featured as xylophone
soloists respectively on "Es
pani Cani" by Marquina and
kabalevskv's "Galloping Co
medians."

designated offices and centers
of Lumbee Regional Develop
ment Association, Inc.
(L.R.D.A.).
Eligible households will re
ceive a check through the mail
in February. 1985. Persons
who think they are eligible
and wish to apply are urged to
contact the L.R.D.A. office or
center nearest their home.
Social Services recipients
should bring the following
items when they apply:
(1) Food Stamp l.D. card;
(2) Medicaid number;
(3) A.F.D.C. number;
(4) Social security card for
Head of Household. Non
Social Services recipients
should bring the following
itmes:
(a) Information about your
household's income. If any
one works, wage stubs for the
month of October should be
included.
(b) Information about your
household's property, stocks,
bonds, and other assets.
