Honor Society . Inductees Dawn Oxendme of Pem broke vxu among the first members inducted into the National Honor Society of the Eastern N.C. School for the Deaf. The school estab lished its 1st National Honor Socsety on M*H ZZ, 1986. At ton o'clock Thursday morn ing, National Honor 9ociety officers and tkoir sponsors from Bcddmgfield High School m WtU on helped ENCSD induct its first mem bers during a candlelight ceremony. Qualifications for mem bership are based on scho larship, service, leadership and character. Eight stu-' dents met these require ments. In addition to Dawn Oxendme, the others are: Kim Rhmehardt of Wallace; Sherwood Barbour of Four Oaks; Jonathan Barnes of Tbrboro; Ronette Mclaw norn of Aydem; Cassandra Porter of FhyetteviUe; Mi chelle Horchler of Fayette mBe; Jennifer Weston of Blounts Creeks. These students were pre sented with pins, certificates and compliments from the superintendent, Susan Par hins and high school princi pal, Brenda Farmer. Johnny is a 1983 graduate of Pembroke Senior High school He currently holds a degree in Electrical Installa tion from RTC.
