WHO IS ELIGIBLE? 11
Enrollments are open on first come, first served basis Admission is open to any adult .18 years of age or older
who is not currently enrolled in public school. Persons 16 to 18 years old may enroll when space is available
if permission has been obtained from the proper school official of his/her high school. A special form granting
this oermission must be signed by school official before student can be registered in class
REGISTRATION
Participants will pay lees and complete the registration process during the first class session Be sure to bring
your social security number and proper fees to your first class. It is extremely important that you plan to attend
ihe first scheduled class session. We cannot register new enrollees after the class has met 20% of the scheduled
course hours.
THE COST
Registration lees lor continuing education courses are assigned at different rates Some courses are $15 and others
are $20 and $25. The fee charged for a course is predetermined by the North Carolina General Assembly. Persons
65 or older are exempted from this jee. There is no charge for volunteer fire department personnel, volunteer
rescue and lifesaving personnel, or for law enforcement officers for their special extension training programs. Students
are responsible for buying supplies and materials as necessary. Books are usually available through the college

-General Information
The Evening Curriculum and Saturday Curriculum classes are designed for anyone 18 years or older, who wish to attend classes at RTC
on a full-time or part-time basis, day or night. RTC's "open door" policy assures adults the opportunity to continue their education regardless
of race, color, sex, age, religion, handicap, national origin, or other non-relevant factors. A high school diploma or its equivalent (GEO)
is required for admissions to the two-year Associate Degree programs. A high school diploma or its equivalent is usually required for
admissions into the one-year diploma programs, but exceptions may be made. Evening Curriculum and Saturday Curriculum classes are
