Franceses Adler Loef&e, who was reared as an Amy "beat" in Fayette ville, graduated with the highest honors at Pem broke State Uni versity, won "Miss PSU" and also be came the first "Miss Fayette ville'tobenamed ?a Ml VT J ramrwinuro^ liu' in 37 yean. Fr?caica Adter loeffke She won the "Miaa North Carolina" title m 1984 and went on to represent the Tar Heel Stale at the Presidential Inauguration in WaAAgloa, D C., that year. She had wen "Mas PSU" of 1912. In 1986, the PSU Ahntni Aseoctotion honored Mrs. Loeffke with ha "Outstanding Alumnus Award.* Married to Gen. Bernard Loeflke and the mother of two children. Marc, 2, and Kristin, l,*Francy*Adler Loeffke returns to PSU Thursday, Nov. 21, to emcee the "Miss PSU" Scholanhip Pageant at the Performing Arts Center. It will be the 10th annlveraary of her whining the title herself, and she wiB ring as pari of the evening's enter tsinmeni The pageant begins at 8 pjn. James Martin as an "Ambassador Extraordinaire." She contin ues to give these type of speeches. She recently released a recording on the Living Waters Records label entitled "Oive Mm a Chance." Written by her, it tells the story ofayoung boy she met in Lima, Peru -and gives the reason for the recording. Ail proceeds from the record will go to the Inter-American Children's Fund to benefit orphanages in Latin America. Mrs. Loeflke heads this international in Washington, DC. In her three years in Panama as an Army wofc, she served as advisor and qpokaepenan ft* Community volunteers, the International Red Crow, Wives' Clubs, The Crisis Line and the Army Community Service Cen ter. She also founded the Family Symposium and the Quality of Life Council. Mrs. Loeflke has traveled throughout Central and South America, performing and tptalrmg. She has orga niaed fond-raisers and delivered donated items to orphan ages and hospitals in South America. la 1989, she was awarded the Commander's Award for Public Service from the Secretary of the Amy: die highest medal given to a civilian. She is also a marketing consultant for Telspen Interna tional, a communications corporation in Washington, DC. A graduate of South View High School ia Fayetteville in 79, *e received a four-year academic scholarship to PSU and graduated summa cum laude in TO, receiving a double Bachelor of Aits in theatre and public relations. She was also the recipient of scholarships in performance and play direction. Her honors included being named to "Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universi ties" and "International Youth in Achievement." She later worked in advertising for WKFT-TV, Chan nel 40, in Fayetteville, and was named "Outstanding Young Woman ia America" for North Carolina in 1986. Her recording, "Give Him a Chance," includes such musical selections as "Love in Any Language," "A Little Good News," "Tu Pais," ("Your Country"-a Latin bal lad), and "Bring Him Home" from "LesMiserables." All songs, Mrs. Loeftke says, have an uplifting theme of love of family and hopa for the ftiture.
