Annual Salary: $29,256.00
Examples of Duties: An employee in
this position is responsible for plan
ning and administering a human rela
tions program for residents of the
County, with emphasis on program
development and implementation and
public relations. Wotfc involves serv
ing as staff to the County Human
Relations Commission,and as liaison
to federal, state, County and other
local governments, as well as the gen
eral public and other individuals in
volved in human relations matters.
Employee develops and implements
programs to ensure adherence to ap
plicable civil rights legislation by
County businesses and civic organi
zations, receives complaints pertain
ing to discriminatory practices, and
interprets and applies human rela
tions prolicies to specific cases through
individual and group requests. Em
ployee must exercise considerable
initiative and independent judgement
in developing and implementing pro
grams to meet the County's needs.
Work is performed under the supervi
sion of the County Manager and is
evaluated through reports, observa
tion, and discussion in terms of over
all effectiveness of the program.
