The truth that all of those points pointed forward to and finally found their fulfillment in the life, death and resurrection of the Christ, Jesus. As soon as Jesus died, the earthly ceremonies ceased to have any significance. It is very fitting that the Passover lamb was about to be sacrificed and as the priest was about to slay it, the great heavy veil that separated the Holy from the Most Holy Place was torn in two, from top to bottom, Matthew 27:51. This is because when Jesus died, everything that pointed forward to Hisdeath and then complete. He took them forever more out of the way by His death on the cross. This included the ceremonial days, washings, feats, sacrifices, and all of the other commandments contained in ordinances. Colossians 2:14-16, Ephcsians 2:13-15. This did not do away with the Royal law(theTen Commandments) that James 2:8-12 speaksof. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:17-19 that He did not come to destroy the law. Heevenspokeagainst those who said that the Commandments were done away with. f Paul uses the term law to sometimes mean the ceremonial law and sometimes he is writing about the Royal law. One must look at the context of what he is discussing to determine what law is the subject of his w riting For instance, in Romans 3:31, Paul is writing of the Ten Commandments (Surely, we don't establish the ceremonial law after accepting Jesus). An example ofPaul and the ceremonial law is found in Galatians 3:24-25 where he establishes a few verse later in Chapter 4:3019 where he shows it is the ceremonial law that is the school mas- , tcr t Romans 4:25 says that Jesus was raised for our justification (forgiveness) and following the outline given to us as an example in the Old Testament (O.T.), we see that the slaying of the sacrifice was but the first step in the atonement. Next, there must be a priest that presides in his office in the sanctuary that offers the blood of the sacrifice for the forgiveness of the sorrowing one's sins. This is what Jesus is doing now. He ministers as our High Priest in the True Sanctuary in Heaven. Yes, Jesus is to the right hand of the Father He is also on a throne. And He is a priest on Is throne. Zachariah 6:13. Hebrews 8:1-2. We are to enter into the sanctuary in heaven by faith. Notice the next verse. It lets us know that we can enter the temple of God in Heaven. But it is through faith and prayer. Psalms 141:2. Revelation 8:3-4. We enter through faith and prayerand only through the merits of the blood of Jesus. Revelation 16:1. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of Cod and from His power and no man was able to enter into the temple til the seven plagues of the seven angles were fulfilled.
