Chasity's reign as your Little Miss
Lumbee is coming to an end
Chasity's reign ?s Little Miss Lumbee
is quickly coming to an end.
Believe me, just because June 28th is
approaching, she still has been very
BUSY. The month of May alone,
Little Miss traveled 239 miles. This
brings her miles traveled as Little
Miss Lumbee to 8,147.
Little Miss sang at Fuller's Old
Fashion BBQ for the Pequot tribe.
They seemed to enjoy her singing
"God's Zoo." Chasity also went to the
Welcome Center with Ms. Demetris
Hunt. She enjoved singing for the
travelers and passing out her "Little
Miss Lumbee" cards. Then came the
Spring Pow Wow, which was great!
The only thing wrong was, we just
couldn't do anything about the temperature.
Boy! was it hot. Little Miss
enjoyed having her Aunt Barbara and
Paige there that Friday evening.
Chasity's school, Pembroke Elementary
really kept het busy in May, from
the Spring concert, The Tale of Peter
Rabbit to the Awards Program held
the last day of school.
During the month of May also
brings rehearsals for the Little Miss
Lumbee pageant. Do you know the
contestants practice twice a week for
13 days at least 2 hours each day.
That is 26 hours and 156 miles! As
the old saying goes "practice makes
perfect." All the contestants are working
really hard. Their parents are to
be commended for putting "their life
on hold" until the pageant is over.
Participation in the pageant holds a
lot of cherished memories that will
last each contestant a lifetime. This
is the sixth in a series of articles on
Chasity's reign as your Little Miss
Lumbee.
