Delia Blue
MAXTON-Mrs. Delia Blue, 69, of
1951 Missouri Road, Maxton. died
Monday morning (Sept 2) at
Sunbridge Nursing Center. The funeral
was held at 5 p.m. Wednesday
(Sept. 4) at Saddletree Church
of-God, the Revs. Kenneth Locklear
and Bobby Locklear officiating.
Burial followed at the Preston
Chapel Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death bv her
husband. Burlin Blue.
Surviving are a daughter. Janice
Bryant; a stepson. Odell Locklear;
three sisters, Shelby Locklear, Mary
Lois Locklear and Annie N.
Locklear, all of Pembroke; a
brother. Bobby Locklear of
Maxton; seven grandchildren; and
ninegreat-grandchildren. Arrangements
were handled by Revels Funeral
Home in Pembroke

CHARLOTTE - Mr. Gaston
Maynor, 61, of 6811 Sundrav
Court, formerly of Lumberton. died
Tuesday. Sept. 3. 2002. in Presbvterian
Hospital.
Mr. Maynor was a textile technologist
and an Air Force veteran.
The funeral was conducted at 2:30
p.m. Saturday (Sept. 7) in Riverside
Independent Baptist Church in
Lumberton by the Revs. MimmyC.
Howard and jerry McNeill. Burial
followed in Lumbee Memorial Gardens
in Lumberton.
Mr. Maynor is survived by his wife.
Betty Ann Maynor; two sons, Lee
Gaston Maynor of Charlotte and
Terry Griffin of Jacksonville; a stepson,
Yancey Hunt ofCharlotte; his
parents, J.L. and Ruth Oxendine of
Lumberton; a brother, Monty
Oxendine ofLumberton; three sisters,
Doris Shepard of Jackson vi lie,
Jackie Hardin of Lumberton and
Sharon Bell of Raeford; and a
granddaughter. Arrangements were

65, and an Army veteran, of 722
Madison St.. died Wednesday, Sept.
4,2002, in his home. The funeral
was conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday
(Sept. 7) in Revels Funeral Home
chapel in Lumberton. Burial followed
in Floyd Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Oxendine is survived by three
sons, Leon Oxendine of Fairmont,
Riley Oxendine Jr. of Laurinburg
and James Oxendine of Rowland;
three daughters, Tina Sanderson
and Savina Oxendine, both of
Fairmont, and Michelle Oxendine
ofLumberton; two brothers, Buddy
Oxendine ofShannon and Columbus
Oxendine ofLumberton; three
sisters, Ethel Oxendine of
Fairmont, Purnell Oxendine of
Lumberton and Julie Ribenbark of
Burgaw; and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. Woods is survived by three
sons, Clarence Woods. C. AnthonyWoods
and Charles R. Woods, all
of Maxton; two brothers, Russell
Woods Jr. and Halbert Locklear,

Deese of Maxton; four grandchildren;
and six great-grandchildren.
