Miss Marie Kinard. former teacher In the Greensboro high school and well known In the city, who died In Wlnslon-Salem, November 29, in her 23rd, year, was buried at Columbia, S. C December 1, the funersl services being attended by a large number of friends and relatives. MIks Kinard was born In Columbia while her father. Dr. M. M. Kinard, was pantor of Ebenezer church. She spent her school yeara in Knoxvtllr and Salisbury and her four years of college life in North Carolina col leges. She grsduated from the high school of Salisbury In 1916 and from college in 1920. For one year she taught In the Greensboro high school and one year In Winston-Salem. She resigned her position during the present year that she might take a special course In the George Peabody Teachers' college at Nashville. Tenn. Miss Klnsrd had enrolled In the college for her M. A. degree in psychology and English, when her physical condition made it necessary for her to defer her en trance until the opening term In 1923. In the meantime the necessity arose for an operation for appendicitis, from which she never recovered.
