The , Charter provides for engage ment in the funeral business under |lt0,000 authorized Capi tal with |300 stock subcribird by E. G. Spaulding, M i- s. Mamie M. Spaulding, Johnson Ray'‘an(} Wm. Henry Jones. i[Coiitiiiueil from page 1) KILLER COP— the victim at Milxiurin^ funeral home, told the court that in his attempt to embalm the body, he inio difficulty because the three_ holes in the abdomen caus ed a leakage of the fluid. A m. * Wrs.'m , 4— t lU A M > till VI vtI^JVIIvC XXI twiv case, the court accepted frbm the state several pictures which showed plainly th ewounds on McNeil’s head as well as pictures rof the entrances which the o,f- ficers used in their wili raid. Mrs. Emnfa King McNeil, wife of the murdered man, stated to the’court that the officers never mad^ it known that they liad a warrant and that she knew no thing of their presence until she hear^ them tearing down the screen door. Bobbitt, she said, came tearing into the room cursing and struck McNeil over the head with his blackjack. When Wilkie entered a mo ment later, slje said after cutting the screen door, her "husband threw a glass in his direction and the officer shot him down. The others contfnued beating him. Roosevelt Owens, who was seated_ in the front ro,om of Mc Neil’s home when Bobbitt and fiteiley came to the front door, ^ said that the officers did not mention a warrant and as he was not at home he called McNeil when they asked to be admitted. Before the man of the house ^ou!d give a reply,, he said, the. officers were kicking the door down. The, testimony of Wilkie, the main witness for the defense, conflicted with that of Mrs. Mc Neil and all of the other state's witnesses when 116 said that Mc Neil was advancing on him with a chair when he shot. He’ also said thatthe man continued fighting after he had“ been shot and fought until he had been blackjacked. MEETING »• 1%« regular buainm* of the Y. W. A.
