rehearsal for thq bloody 30 hour
race war that gripped the arsenel
of democracy last Sunday night
and Monday. In the first riot. I
escaped death only because I was
able to “duek” in time, and I
lived to write this story only be
cause I was out of the danger
zone on Woodward avenue just
seconds before white rioters took
over downtown Detroit early
last Monday morning.
