Water Pageant, With Large Cast, Proves Colorful Event Behind a beautiful South Seas backdrop, the annual water .show “South Sea Island Magic” was l)n‘sented here Saturday night at the Hillside Park Pool before a capacity crowd. The Hillside Life Saving (\)rp, under the capable direc tion of Haywood Allen and Er win Johnson, started the pag eant off on time and it was in deed well ]>lanned and colorful production. One of the outstanding fea tui'es of th(' show was the realis tic scenery prepared by Mrs. Grace JI(H)re Green. The Poly nesian Queen, Miss Kitty Wil- lete Snead reigned over her sub jects with all the grace of royal ty. The master of ceremonies, Clarence Hodges carried the pageant fast and without dif ficulty. Each act contained hu mor, glamour and talent. The swimmers, headed by Haywood Allen came into their full share of praise. The master ful clowning by several members of the Hillside Life Saving Corp added much to the show.
