Rowan, administrative secre tary of the NACW. Mrs. Rowan, who is from Wasiiington, D. C., was here to attend the third conference of the U. S. National Commission for UNESCO, as a delegate from the women’s organization, which has had representatives at previous national and inter national conferences. Mrs. Ella P. Stewart of Toledo, Otlio, is the President of the Association. UNESCO has not ](et comple ted its personnel panel nor has it decided upon all of the positions wliich will be available, Mrs. Rowan explained, but she is seeking to have a representa tive list of persons on file so as to be ready to help fill the re quested positions of the U. N. organization when they are opened. The NACW in recent years has not only dedicated itself to active cooperation with the Uni ted Nations, Mrs. Rowan pointed out, but it has expanded its work in community affairs, especially in cooperation with the Planned Parenthood Federation.
