COMING TO THE BALEIGH MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM — Above is shown the main cast of the Second edition of THE BIGGEST RHYTHM AND BLUES SHOW which will tnaku a one night appearance at the RALEIGH MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM on Labor Day night, September 6. The date will be a SHOW and DANCE appearance with dancing at 9 P. M. till 9:45 P. M. with the SHOW being presented at 10 O’Clock sharp. Dancing will be allowed after the show with whatever time left. The main cast co-stars Roy Hamilton, Faye Adams, The Drifters, Lavern Baker, The Spaniels, The Counts, Erskine Hawkins and his great Orchestra, Big Maybelle, Busty Bry> ant and his Orchestra and Lgu Elliott all together in one big show. Coles has been stationed in Alaska for the past two years. Mrs. Ada Graves of Boisseau Court has returned home from Philadelphia after visiting her sister, Mrs. Bettie McFadden who was ill. Thomas Amos of New York City is visiting his mother, Mrs. Alice Amos of Sycamore Street. Sgt. and Mrs. Leadis Hughes and son, Leadis Jr., were the recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Price of Liberty View. They also spent some time with Mrs. Hughes’ parents in Pel ham, N. C. Mrs. Irene Elder and child ren spent a week’s vacation in Newport News as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Henderson. Miller of Washington is visiting Mrs. Miller’s mother, Mrs. Emma Dodson of Cedar Street. Mrs. Dorothy Vassar and Miss Betty Kirby are visiting rela tives here. Both are from Hart ford, Conn., Miss Kirby and Frank Hatchett Jr., appeared on Tony’s Time on television here. Mr. Hatchett has a dance school in Conn. Frank Hatchett and Mrs. Mamie Brandon of Hart ford are visiting relatives and friends here. Mrs. Leola Lawson of New York is visiting Miss Virginia Lawson of Aiken Street. Aiken Street picnic will go to Seavie^^ Beach, in Norfolk on August 21. Buses will leave at midnight on Aug. 21, and re turn on Sunday, Aug. 22.
