Hubbard’s farm to get some firsthand experiences aI>out farming and farm life since that is the major topic of discussion in their classi*oom. Among the nuiny things tiiat Mr. Hubbard told them, there are two they will hardly for get: (1) Cows have four stomachs; and (2) cows have no upper teeth. The children were so very happy to have some of their parents go with them, too. Chatry Perry,’s mother took a load. Lee Horton’s daddy took B load, James Peddy’s mother took a load, James Singletary's dad took a load, (and his mother went, too), and Alice* McCollum’s dnd took a load. While on the farm they had fun. They learned that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. They, therefore, had fun riding the truck, the wagon and other fam} machinery. They ended their stay on the farm by eating their lunches and home made ice cream made by Lee Horton’s mother, James Peddy’s mother and Quincey Tucker’s mother. ’Their trip to the farm meant so much to them because they learned much they could have never learned by reading books, and they had loads of fun.
