The officiating minister was the Rev. E. T. Browne, pastor of the Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Mrs.. Harris, the second of five children, was bom here, November 23, 1934. She attend ed the public schools of the city graduating from the Hillside High School in Jiine, 1953. She became a member of tha Oak Grove Church during the summer of the same year. And gn May 3 of this year, she was married to Lonnie D. Harris. Surviving are her husband, father, mother, three brothers, one sister, a niece, six uncles, nine aunts and a daughter bom a few hours before h^ mother’s paaring. Marshall. 47, is Director Counsel of NAACP Legal De fense and Educational Fund and Special Counsel for the NAACP. Mrs. Marshall, petite, attrac tive and of American-Filipino ancestry, is 28. She was born in Puuene, Maui, Hawtdl. She is a graduate of the Honolulu Busi ness College. She came to New York in February, 1947 to study at Coliunbia University and joined the staff of the NAACP in 1947 as a stenogra pher. For the past seven years she was secretary to the Direc tor of NAACP Branches.
